The BLET General Committee was formed in 1987. Prior to that the members on New Jersey Transit were part of the Conrail General Committee, District "G". The GCA now has over 400 Engineers working on New Jersey Transit with new training classes on the way. The continued expansion of New Jersey Transit and changes in FRA regulations is creating more job opportunities for Locomotive Engineers.
